John Deere Reman is building a new facility in Strafford. Ground breaking was held in November of 2011 with Governor Jay Nixon welcoming John Deere Reman to the area. John Deere is investing $14 million in the local economy by adding a 275,000 square-foot facility with eventual hiring of 55+ employees over the next five years.
Enhanced Enterprise Zone tax credits over the next five years, and energy and sales tax exemptions have been offered to the industry.
When finished, John Deere will cover more than 400,000 square feet and employ about 270 people.
